The student is responsible for the following supplies:
- Pencils are a preferred mode for documenting math notes and problems, but if your child prefers pen, that is an option too. Please supply your child with an on going supplies of pencils and pens through out the year.
- Math notebook – 3-ring binder with 3 divided sections explained in the table of contents, 3- hole punched lined paper and graph paper. Another option is a spiraled bound notebook.
- Warm-up – section #1 for the beginning class warm-up problems
- Practice – section #2 for completing your practice assignments, (work done at home and used as feedback the following day).
- Notes and Vocabulary – section #3 a resource for you with explanations and examples – section #4 understanding the language of math
- Assessments - please hold onto all assessments in the back of your binder. They will come in handy when studying for a test, doing a project, and showing growth.
- Practice work is assigned to be meaningful and is expected to be completed on time.
- Most times, the student will have an opportunity to start in class.
- All assignments will contain the following components:
- Name, Date, Period, Assignment Title or Page and Problem numbers and one inch margins.
- Therefore if the student works productively, there may be occasions that the student does not bring home practice work. In addition to this, no late work will be accepted unless the student has an excuse absence (WMS handbook policy on missed work will be followed.)
